What happened

Nigeria's anti-corruption commission, ICPC, prosecuted a contractor and its associates. The defendants conspired to offer a bribe of ₦6,000,000.00 to officials of the Federal Ministry of Works to facilitate the award of a contract. The company also submitted a forged tax clearance certificate in its prequalification documents. On 14 July 2025 the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Apo Division, convicted the company, which was fined. ICPC states all defendants have paid their fines.
