Description

What the bribe bought

The bribes were aimed at favourable decisions on construction projects in Vilnius. The source does not say which decisions were actually obtained.

What happened

According to Lithuania's Special Investigation Service (STT), the head of a Vilnius design company offered or gave bribes five times to an employee of the Vilnius municipal administration. The bribe amounts ranged from 150 to 10 thousand euros. The Vilnius City District Court issued penal orders in the case, including a final fine of EUR 17.4 thousand on the company head. The orders were not appealed and are final.
